BEST and WORST

Film is a polarizing art form. A film I love, you may hate. And a film you love, I will probably hate. That is because so much goes into a film that there is a lot to love and/or hate.

For instance, my friend loves Jumper and I think it is one of the worst movies I've seen. He loves it because he thinks it would be cool to be a "jumper" like Hayden Christensen's character in the film. While I agree that it would be cool, I dislike the film because Christensen cannot act to save his life and the story borders on silly.

With that being said, below are some of my favorite films I have reviewed and some of my least favorite films I have reviewed. To be honest, people usually find my reviews most entertaining when they are about a film I abhor. So, those reviews may be worth checking out but I wouldn't suggest watching the films they are about. With the "best" films, though, you shouldn't just read the review. You should watch the film because I don't give them an A+ for no reason...

THE WORST

No film can match how amazingly bad The Room is. But below are some films that are so bad that they are just bad and I never want to see them again. I also hope you don't have to suffer through them.

The Watch

How bad can an action-comedy actually be? The Watch will help you figure that out. At least the special effects are pretty good in this one but that's not enough to keep you entertained.

This is just laughably bad. It's like a bad 2-3 minute sketch comedy skit that was turned into a feature film. You will laugh once... maybe.

As much as I enjoy watching Drumline, it is really bad. That's actually why I like watching it. But it's not as gloriously bad as other choices such as Troll 2 or The Room.

I just don't understand how Natalie Portman can be so awful in this film because she's so good in other things (like Black Swan and V for Vendetta). I guess acting opposite Ashton Kutcher doesn't bring out your best.

This critically acclaimed bore-fest is one many people love and will deride me for rating D+. But this is my site, my review, my opinion and I can't believe I sat through all 162 grueling minutes.

"Why" is a good question for this film. It's a complete mess and disgrace to the horror genre. Too harsh? Check out my review. But please, by no means see this film.

THE BEST

As a film lover and critic, I have seen and loved many films. When people as me "what's your favorite movie," they don't understand how difficult of a question that really is for me. Below are my current top ten (of films I have reviewed). They are in no particular order but they are all amazing. I have given out a coveted A+ to more than just these films, but these I could watch over and over. Read the reviews of them or, better yet, just watch them.

Captain Phillips
